Add Clyde River Recreation to your things to do in Vermont. We are the rental outfitter of choice for paddlers of all skill levels. Our lazy river paddle can be 5.5 miles to a challenging 35+ miles long with various obstacles and mixed scenery for seasoned kayakers or canoers, yet a safe fun canoeing kayaking experience for children on the shorter sections. Most customers feel the 5.5 mile trip that takes about 3 hours is just right and accounts for 95% of our business.

You park here, we take you up-stream, you paddle back at your leisure.

Clyde River Recreation delivers rental canoe / kayak to many local camps and cabins in the area. From Island Pond in the east to Lake Memphremagog in Newport. Seymour Lake in Morgan, Salem Lake in Derby and Echo Lake  in Charleston are popular boating spots. Willoughby Lake is also very popular and only 10 minutes away. I can't even count all the ponds that are hidden throughout the North East Kingdom of Vermont. So there are things to do in Vermont all over the NEK
Right off our docks here in West Charleston VT, rent a pedal boat, row boat, canoe or kayak by the hour or by the day. Very convenient if you have limited time, or want to spend the day fishing.
